Cincinnati Radio, my
Arcadia book of photographs from Cincinnati's first 50-years of radio,
is NOW AVAILABLE!
Thanks for visiting.
I've been professionally involved in radio in Cincinnati for 35-years now and am enjoying my time on 89.3 WMKV. The
first nearly two decades were happily spent at WVXU, when it was a part of Xavier University. It was during that tenure
that I became involved in learning about broadcast history--particularly the history of Cincinnati radio and television.
Starting around 1999, I began interviewing the remaining pioneers that I could find for various history projects and
documentaries. Today, that education continues because there's no possible way to "know it all."
Thanks to a great family and wonderful
peers, the mission continues with Media Heritage, a non-profit archive and library of radio and television history.
It's sort of an "expensive hobby." Information at www.mediaheritage.com!
I'm always
eager to learn something new, so if you have a story feel free to drop me a line!
For starters, here is a brief timeline of some of the events
related to Cincinnati's radio and television history. How many have you read about? What memories do you have? Cincinnati Timeline
This website is a work in progress. I've never done such a thing before, so excuse
my unprofessionalism. Hopefully, improvements will come in time!
